Here at The Cheshire Dining Experience we pride ourselves on produce we use, the venues we frequent and the drinks we imbibe. The relationships we build with our suppliers and collaborators are the backbone to the operational side of TCDE along with our working kitchen garden.
Ahead of our pop-up in Liverpool next week, we wanted to take a moment to share our love for the amazing independent businesses who we work alongside to help make this unique event possible.
The Natural Veg Men & 9 Meals from Anarchy
Matt & Tom are two inspirational guys who work out of a 3-acre site in Cheshire which is also the oldest organic site in the country, nurturing the most beautiful veg we have ever seen and had the pleasure to work with. This may sound a bit over the top, but when you speak to them and see the produce they grow, it is plainly obvious they are pioneers in what they do. It is this veg which is supplied to select restaurants & people in the form of seasonal boxes delivered to your door.
With this veg they also make the most amazing, award winning, organic stock. It is this stock that we only use in our cooking as it honours the ethos we all share collectively; no short cuts, no crap and made with love. This was also recognised nationally in a recent article from The Telegraph:
Not only do these wonderful human beings grow the world’s best organic veg, supply us with a ground breaking veg stock but, most importantly, they inspire us to create menus with their unique produce, and then to top it all off, they are top blokes too!!
If you ever get chance to chew their ear off about anything to do with food or ingredients, take it! Or at least sign up for their home delivery, veg box scheme, you will not regret it!
When researching for a venue to host our Autumn pop-up, a few sites in Chester popped onto our radar which are run by Big Heritage. A tremendous independent that runs some of the most amazing heritage sites in the North West and the country such as ‘Sick to Death’.
After our initial meeting with Dean & Emma at Big Heritage, they were on board straight away and actively encouraged us to be as creative as we liked! Their latest venture is a restored WW2 operations centre underneath Liverpool city centre and is also the site of our latest pop-up restaurant.
Their passion and love or what they do is amazing and we have had such a great time with all of the team making this project happen, we look forward to a long lasting relationship for working with them in the future for more exciting events.

Our man in know, Ross, from HiSpirits has helped us out massively over the last few months and what he doesn’t know about booze, isn’t worth knowing!
We have collaborated with him for a few events where he guides us through his range of hand selected spirits and divulges us with information all about the premium products he loves.
He first brought Broker’s Gin to our attention working on a Miami themed party where we wanted a particular flavour to incorporate into a ‘White Rose Negroni’ cocktail (shout out to Nic for that amazing creation). After working with this amazing product, the opportunity presented itself to work with it again for this project; leading us down the path of discovery bout the gin.
The distillery where Broker’s Gin is made is located near Birmingham and is over 200 years old (wow!). There had previously been a brewery on the site, but this was converted to a distillery at a time when gin-making became more profitable than beer-making.
The distillery uses only a traditional pot still, named ‘Constance’. Where the major brands use a continuous distillation method using column, Broker’s only uses the pot still method which better for extracting maximum flavour from the botanicals in a traditional hand-crafted fashion, which we love and is why we use it.
