Wow, where to begin! As we left 2016 behind and entered 2017, we had a very long but exciting time up to now refurbishing our new business premises.
We started with a 10-week setback due to an unforeseen issue with planning regulations, queue to us pulling our hair out! This really pushed us to get the place sorted in the 17 week window we put to one side for the project. But, we just worked as hard as we could and laughed and cried our way through it all! Starting with a very run down shell to overhaul, we now move forward into the busy year ahead with a modern, fresh and beautiful place of work. With our kitchen entirely designed by us to work in a way that benefits us, our clients and the event catering work we do. From large open spaces, beautiful tiled walls down to the bespoke shelving. Every inch of this building has been thought through with the care and attention we pride ourselves on.
Through the project, we have worked with some amazing local businesses to help bring our dream to reality. In our tasting room where we will host clients for menu tastings and consultations, we worked with an amazing tradesman to design our vision for shelving made from copper piping and reclaimed wood.
Even our dining table was custom made by the fantastic Brownlow Furniture makers situated behind our premises. They supplied us with a solid one-piece slab of French oak that has really made the room feel very special.
The scrubland behind our unit has now been turned into a wonderful working kitchen garden with the help from Urban Landscaping situated two doors down from us. The transformation has been amazing and to be able to grow seasonal vegetables, fruit and edible flowers is something we are incredibly excited about using in our food. As we look out of our kitchen over the garden, to have the opportunity to go from the soil to the kitchen in a few steps is a dream held by me for a long time, I look forward to our chefs having this opportunity!
As our doors open and we welcome clients for tastings, we are also set to unveil new services we offer alongside exciting public events where the public can attend to experience our food and meet the team.
